I have 2  5.8 links up over 35 miles. I can be done.  You just have to engineer it correctly.

Reminds me of the (fiction?) story where a vendor claimed their 5.8 gig equipment had established a link 35 miles away.

A competing vendor quickly pointed out that the link was from the top of a mountain straight down into the first valley and the road distance was 35 miles only because it wrapped around the mountain 6 times getting to the top!

Your serving clients up to 12 miles?  Yes we tried to amp it with 250 mw amps.  What type of antenna's are you using?  Do you have it amped?  Are you using Orinoco?  I would love to talk with you more off list.
