Anyone going to pony up $500 to go the WISP in Texas in October ?
If not, I would be interested in doing another Texas I-35 corridor type
meeting to discuss Wireless. That was on the agenda in San Antonio
but we didn't get to discuss it. We could probably meet it in Austin and
be central to all who would attend.
If anyone is interested please let me know and let's see if we can nail
down a date between mid-October and mid-November.
Larry
Well I promise you thats not the case here. We are on a tower 510 ft up but the elevation is not that high. It works great for us.

- Reminds me of the (fiction?) story where a vendor claimed their 5.8 gig equipment had established a link 35 miles away.
- A competing vendor quickly pointed out that the link was from the top of a mountain straight down into the first valley and the road distance was 35 miles only because it wrapped around the mountain 6 times getting to the top!

- Your serving clients up to 12 miles? Yes we tried to amp it with 250 mw amps. What type of antenna's are you using? Do you have it amped? Are you using Orinoco? I would love to talk with you more off list.
