Saudi "proven" reserves are shown at 262.7 billion barrels. In 1989, Saudi "proven" reserves were reported at 260 billion barrels. No significant fields have been discovered since then. How does one explain the current reserve? Kuwait's Burgan Field (the second-largest on Earth) has peaked and is in decline.
