I think so. It was not in the dictionary that comes with Macs.
However I did find "lucubrate", and it was noted as archaic. I
bookmarked the "thefreedictionary". It looks handy.
I also found "elucubrate" in the wiki dictionary:

which gives "to burn the midnight oil" as a synonym - and that is
soooo applicable to me, the only question remaining being exactly
what kind of oil. 8^)
