Howdy Philip and Bill, Been an interesting and revealing thread. Remember I was born three generations back. Let me add a thought that touches on the " third rail" and can get me in all kinds of trouble... women in the work place and positions of authority. Background.. it has only been this generation that has experienced a situation where women are in leadership positions in business, law and government. Has this resulted in a change in the dynamic of interaction between men in the scientific realm for the better or worse? Richard
