I was going to mention that, and I am glad Ed brought it up. Clearly, the Pd-B alloy is helpful in some cases, but not sufficient. There must be a critical electrochemical difference between the Miles and Storms cells. Storms said the difference is probably in the impurities deposited on the surface electrochemically, which forms the NAE.
