I'd have pretty much diametrically disagreed with
these parts of your post, until I ended up reading
this.... Judges 11:29-40

This (and things like it) were never taught in
churches, back when I actually used to go to them.

I have a lot to think about now.

How does one reconcile morality with fundamental
(assuming that is the right word) inerrant
interpretation of Biblical scripture? If God (talking
OT God here) condones what Jephthah did to his
daughter, why then do I have such a horrified recoil
from it? Do not Christians teach that morality is all
stemmed from God? "For without me, you can do nothing
at all" ?

If my moral compass telling me that killing and
burning one's own daughter based on an oath one
stupidly made is murder, and it contradicts what is
written, then where does my moral compass' deviation
from "true north" come from? I assume many would say
Satan. If so, why does Satan want to keep someone from
being killed? Isn't he the great destroyer? What is
going on here?

Our only other option here is, it seems, to toss out
the inerrancy of the Bible. But then, we find
ourselves once again under attack. What to do?

I assume many Christians would say, Jephthah made the
promise to God, and it must be kept. It is his fault.
That's fine and well, if he made a stupid promise, God
can punish him for shortsightedness. Fine, I have no
problem with that. But /by satiating this wrong with
the burning death of an INNOCENT HUMAN BEING WHO HAD
NO FOREKNOWLEDGE OF JEPHTHAH'S STUPID PROMISE/ it is
an act of condoned murder.

Where is HER demand to be left alive? What of her
rights? She is not property to be sold/destroyed to
settle an oath, she is a _living, thinking human
being_!

Why did God not say "Jephthah, you idiot. You're
willing to kill your own daughter to cover your own
stupidity? Leave her alone. My anger is directed only
to you."
