I think I just found the flaw in my calculation. The distance shouldn't be taken
as the separation of the atoms in the molecule, because one is not calculating
centrifugal force relative to the molecule, but rather relative the center of
the Earth, so the distance should be the Earth's radius. That changes the energy
to about 15 eV which is about or beyond the limit for molecules.
