I really shouldn't try using my brain at this time of day. The binding energy of the molecular ion is only about 2.7 eV (i.e. the energy required to break it up into a proton and a Hydrogen atom). Hydrino molecular ions OTOH can run into keV... :) .....but these are much harder to keep ionized. :( >probably use UV to both ionize the molecule and spin it up. ...and you don't need to use UV.
