>From Terry,
> Well, there are a lot of engineers willing to help him gratis if he > would only ask. But, it seems there is a pride issue here. Probably control issues as well. Not all that surprising. Following up on prior conversation, I would imagine it is management's worst nightmare to have the core (no pun intended) specifications of a key product line constantly changed with last-minute "improvements. This appears to have been what Rossi was doing - and probably what Rossi is still doing in his private work shop. Terry has already described how last-minute changes to a product adversely affected manufacturing plans at a business establishment he used to work at. ...kill the engineers! Rossi is an engineer/inventor. It is natural for Rossi to remain in an infinite DO-LOOP of improving on his cCat designs. Apparently no one has gotten as far as Rossi appears to have gotten - except possibly for DGT, but that remains to be seen. It suggests to me that much of the on-going talk pertaining rolling out a 1MW prototype by October - is PR & bluster, possibly meant to sooth the churning stomachs of key investors. Granted interested parties (whoever they might be) may still pull the magic rabbit out of the hat by the end of October. But at present it strikes me as a risky bet to place one's chips on at the crap table. I would still prefer to give interested parties additional slack time. BTW, this coming Tuesday, my wife and I will be flying out to the 69th World Science Fiction Convention. It's not just the home of "science" fiction, but of "speculative" fiction. http://www.renovationsf.org/index.php This is the organization where the membership votes on the best SF novels, short stories, best feature films and other related media for the year. It is where the coveted Hugo Awards are awarded by popular vote. Getting a Hugo Award can translate to forty to fifty thousand dollars in additional royalties for SF authors. This year the convention will be held in Reno, Nevada. Speaking of "speculative" fiction, I wonder if there is any Rossi wagering going on there. Ladies and Gentlemen, place your bets! ;-) Regards, Steven Vincent Johnson www.OrionWorks.com www.zazzle.com/orionworks
