Using the phrase "gullible investors" is the equivalent of the "swamp gas" excuse in UFO literature.
Investors take risks, and they have the money to do so - that is the whole nature of being an investor.  The anti free energy brigade try to paint investors as dear old ladies about to lose their life savings to dodgy doorstep salesmen.
