Yup. I recall hearing that some Russians tried it with a gun. True or not, it makes a good story. Mike McKubre says that he first met Martin Fleischmann, there were several students in the hallway firing a bow and arrow for some sort of experiment. It looked foolhardy. Mike decided it was just the place for him. My daughter spent time in New Zealand. She says the national slogan there should be: "Hey, let's try it! Why not?" - Jed
