Plasmoid formation does not necessarily need water as a formation medium.
It sounds like you used air as the medium.

The plasmoid can take on a number of forms.

experiment most closely.

By the way, I seem to be a fellow traveler intellectually with Moray B.
King in many regards and not have known it until I saw this reference. But
I still draw separation between zero-point-energy and coulomb barrier
lowering. I will need to look into King’s thinking more closely.

In other words, Zero point energy produces a subset of the LENR activity.
Coulomb barrier lowering also produces many instances of LENR activity. But
the common cause is coherent charge organization and its quantum mechanical
consequence.
