I KEEP SAYING, ITS ALL ABOUT RESONANCES.

First, this will also tie in with Harry Veeder's posting earlier today
titled:

Subject: "[Vo]:MFMP and phonon resonance temperature of Cu"

Here is the link to the article that is 'Yet Another Clue':

"The quantum secret to alcohol reactions in space"

http://phys.org/news/2013-06-quantum-secret-alcohol-reactions-space.html

"Chemists have discovered that an 'impossible' reaction at cold temperatures
actually occurs with vigour, which could change our understanding of how
alcohols are formed and destroyed in space. To explain the impossible, the
researchers propose that a quantum mechanical phenomenon, known as 'quantum
tunnelling', is revving up the chemical reaction.

*** They found that the rate at which the reaction occurs is 50 times
greater at minus 210 degrees Celsius than at room temperature.*** It's the
harsh environment that makes space-based chemistry so difficult to
understand; the extremely cold conditions should put a stop to chemical
reactions, as there isn't sufficient energy to rearrange chemical bonds."

"The researchers were able to recreate the cold environment of space in the
laboratory and observe a reaction of the alcohol methanol and an oxidising
chemical called the 'hydroxyl radical' at minus 210 degrees Celsius. They
found that not only do these gases react to create methoxy radicals at this
incredibly cold temperature, but that the rate of reaction is 50 times
faster than at room temperature."

Now, why would the reaction occur much more rigorously at -210C???

RESONANCES!

And in Harry Veeder's posting, the PDF file is using a calculation to
determine phonon resonance temperatures for transmuting one element into
another (http://www.human-resonance.org/Qi.pdf)... Can you say Alchemy???

>>>>

The basis for Alchemy and Cold Fusion is the same. resonances.

It is also the reason why both are so *very* difficult to reproduce.

<<<<

When you have numerous oscillators all tied together and exchanging packets
of energy at random times, the likelihood that all will come into resonance
is, for all intents and purposes, >>> NIL <<< because the atom losing a
packet of E goes down in frequency, while the one rcving the R goes up.
Same if we're talking a collection of molecules. Take two molecules; they
don't want to react in any way. At some HIGHLY SPECIFIC temperature (NOT
elevated necessarily to get 'over the reaction hump'), the two molecules
will spontaneously react BECAUSE THEY COME INTO RESONANCE. VERY RARE, AND
ONLY AT SPECIFIC TEMPERATURE(S).

In the PhysOrg article, at -210C, the atoms or molecules are much more
likely to come into resonance, or are resonant with, the reactant.

In reading some of the old Alchemy texts, one scientist specifically stated
that he had to use a very specific kind of wood to achieve the result. why?
I'll bet it's because it burned at a very specific temperature. a round of
drinks if I'm wrong!

Let's hope that LENR doesn't suffer the same fate as Alchemy.

Alcohol? Did someone say alcohol?

Methanol??? Nah, never tried it.

Make mine a Perfect Manhattan.
