Eric, I believe YES. If you look at the Sunspots, they harbor the elliptical, magnetic flux tubes(strings of vacuum energy in my model) that generate solar flares and CME's and stream energetic particles. I believe these energetic particles are collapsed/dark vacuum energy (branes from M Theory) streaming towards those planets and they makeup the quantum gravity field and yes, many get lensed around the Earth's magnetic field, protecting us. Many also get through the shield and create low pressure disturbances and FLOODING on Earth, which is why I think we have had a lot of rain this year. They are ionizing oxygen in our atmosphere, donating protons through decay and FORMING water vapor.
When planets line up you get a more energetic stream of particles in one direction. Which is also why I am not excited about getting between ISON and the Sun in January 2014, in case ISON's nuclei are much more massive then we think and they are "pulling a vacuum" on their way out.
