for me , as it happen often minimal income go with flat tax, which it
dampen.

Some people would agree to pay their slightly bigger share of taxes (maybe
not bigger in fact that is the trick) to :
- stop thinking about taxes, and thinking about business
- stop wasting public money to check is poor people are poor, to help them.
- stop having poor people who compute whether they have to work or not, to
be able to optimize their situation... they will always benefit from
working, unlike in charity state.

My vision is that even if rich people think they will pay more taxes, in
fact they will pay less taxes, and also beyond that will earn more wealth
...

they will work less to gain more, paying less tax advisors, and focussing
on business
there will be less poors, since they will work hard and efficiently with
more pleasure, increasing competence and recognition, instead of making
parametric optimizations on aids

there will be abuses of the systems, but they will not may more that the
minimum salary, and guess what ? one day they will want more and the only
solution will be : work... it will be simple, clear , and without doubt the
best option.

more generally it will promote risk taking people, who will always know
they will survive... it will allow what Taleb calls the Barbel stratégy,
take risk, with a good parachute.

clearly that proposition is a libertarian welfare state, not a communism.

some (in France) hate it because it is too libertarianist...

In France, communist moan that it is unfair since the rich will have it too
(they don't count the taxes rich will pays, as they will pay anyway - they
say)... some other says it is unconditional thus unfair...

I remember a motto which says if you subsidize poor people, you push people
to be poor...
it seems crazy but in france we have such a system of people trapped in
poverty because as soon as they earn money they lose all aid, and get
really poor.

of course you can let people die in the street... for me it is lost
workforce, lost opportunities, lost capital... not even talking of being
human... :<
