Can you explain how getting rid of taxes will enable the poor to
defecate in the streets and streams? Do you mean that the cities will
not have money to run the sewer and water systems, and therefore, no
water and sewer systems will be provided? If so, then that's an
interesting assertion. The income tax wasn't even implemented until
1916, and this was a federal tax which didn't imburse local
municipalities in any significant way until the 1970s. Which taxes on
the wealthy do you think led America out of squalor?
