I still haven't figured out how we can be celebrating a millenium
on a calendar that was only invented about 450 years ago.
And in American we were the last in the world to adopt the darn thing
anyway, less than 400 years ago.
(We still hold onto the English system of measurement too, long after
the Brits themselves moved on into modern times.)
