I used to use a 1595 1/2 fishing for chums but found I needed a heavier drag. I ended 
up using a Scientific Angler System 2 in order to get a heavier setting.

The Pfleuger... never had any problems with it other than too light of a drag system.  
I've used that reel for various applications for 15 or so years.
