Fished the Agate Passage area on Monday. The tides were right, the weather
was right, it was a fine day! Saw a couple of coho in the passage itself,
just north or the bridge, but didn't manage to hook any. There was lots of
grass flowing with the water. That meant picking the stuff out of the fly
or leader after nearly each cast. I changed locations and tried of Miller
Bay. Here the out going tide was clear. That offered lots of casts without
the hassle of hooking sea grass instead of fish. Managed to bring 8 searuns
to the boat and had lots of follows to make it more interesting. Also, a
couple of blackmouth were breaking the surface near the bays entrance. I
was able to get a few casts at them and had a tug, but no solid takes. All
in all, the fishing was great and the catching was fine as well. Hope we
have some days like this before summer comes to and end.

Mike
