Thanks Bill, I will keep your "secret"!
Yes, if you have any hiking suggestions that would be great. We have only
been in Washington for the last two years so my journal of great places is a
little slim. We have purchased quite a number of books, but have found many
of the destinations somewhat disappointing.
We are not afraid of hard hikes. Last year I took the boys on the West Coast
Trail on Vancouver Island and did about 75 km in a week. As much as I hate
to admit it, they probably took care of Dad as much as Dad took care of
them. Saw some wildlife, bears and there were some juvenile courgars running
throught camps, but we did not see them, only the tracks.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Ken

trail. At the 7 mile mark are Gravel and Ridge Lakes, the 10 mile mark has
Joe Lake (a personal favorite of mine and has a good population of cutts)
and the 20 mile mark has Spectacle Lake which is loaded with brookies.

hike down to 10 miles (one way).

a 30 mile loop and a couple of good fishing lakes.

all the other ones up on top. That would be a shorter hike with a greater
concentration of lakes.
