When you say "South of Keystone" . . . have you ever fished at the "Radar
site" there on the spit?
Gear guys fish there a lot. Seems to be a steeper drop off than the other
beaches.
Would love to hook up with you. Have you seen the long range forcast for
next weekend . . . it is supposed to be colder . . . last night the weather
man used the "S" word.

                Tom,

I figured you would go to Whidbey, so I thought I would
check out Kayak
today. I fished the outgoing tide. It was a bit windy out of
the north (my
right). After a bit, I took a break and went around the lee
side of the
point and fished a popper with my 6wt. There were quite a
bit of small
silvers to 15" that had the munchies. The wind layed down
for awhile and I
went back out and worked it just before the low slack, such
as it was. No
hits, no sightings and no Herschel, which, in this case,
says more for the
                conditions at Whidbey.

Maybe I'll see you out at Bush next week. I think I'd like
to poke around
                the beach south of Keystone.

                Leland.
