Dan,

When I first heard of this fishery, it was from some gearguys on the radio.
They said they used yellow and white, orange and yellow and pink hootchies.
I didn't know what a hootchie was so I went down to Warshals, walked down
the aisle, picked up a hootchie and said to myself, "marabou." I use
schlappen now, but any long, flowy, marabou, spey like stuff will work. I
use a #2 or #4 Mustad 3407 hooks, lead eyes, holographic flashabou tails,
and orange, yellow or variegated chenille bodies. Some look like hot
shrimp, some look like standard wets. It's still an open book on patterns
and I just make 'em up as I go. Just believe in your pattern enough to cast
it all day.

Leland.
