Hi Sean,

All the guides will be there (Farrar, Dickson, ODonnell, Hogan, etc etc),
but there's lots of water.

Unfortunately, my favorite fly water is also popular with others - the Hoh.
If your guide knows it and it's "in" (goes OUT in a heartbeat with rain or
warm weather - ditto for the Queets), that's where I'd be. Beautiful river!

Second choice would be the Queets. Very similar to the Hoh - glacial river
with a wide streambed and lots of rivermiles to fish. The Sol Duc's a rocky
river with a tight streambed that I've never found to be very
flyfishing-friendly. There are some HUGH fish in there, and I've hooked a
few, but it's tough fishing. The big advantage to the Duc is that it takes
a lot of rain to put it out.

Good Luck - the OP is a wild place and visiting it's rivers can become
addictive!

hasta,

Brian L
