Hi Darren,

The first order of business would be to join the Evergreen Fly Fishers, an
excellent fly-fishing club filled with guys that really fish a lot. I'm
copying this e-mail to my pal, Paul Palmer who is a member and can probably
get you steered in the right direction.

Most shops have some pretty good people behind the counter but there are
also those few who consider fishing and selling tackle some kind of penile
enhancement exercise and would rather bluster around and blow smoke than
help you out. Keep trying and you will find some retailers who do a good
job. Other members of this e-mail gang can probably give you more insights
to shops with good personnel.

Good Luck,

Les Johnson
