my list has shrunk quite a bit in the last year:

For trout I use a 4wt for floating line applications and a 5wt for sinking lines. This
goes for both rivers and lakes but I mainly fish lakes when I do go trout fishing.

For beach fishing year around I use a 7wt 9'6". Can go small or large with this setup.
Used to use a 5wt for the winter fish but found if I wanted to throw larger flies or
the w*ind kicked up I felt undergunned. The 7wt is a great all around rod.

For larger salmon in the rivers and steelhead I will go with an 9' 8wt.
