It's interesting to see what you guys out here are using.  I've always used
my Cabela's Letort 8 1/2 5 weight with 6 weight line for fishing in
Wisconsin.

The fishing I'm used to is in winding streams averaging 3-4 feet across.
So my longer casts were pretty short maybe 5-10 feet of line plus the
leader.

I see no one mentioned a Spey Rod.  Is that method used out here?   It's
something I've always wanted to try.
