Ok, I started this, so will now post one of the more humorous things which have happened to me while fishing. Was on the St. Joe river with a buddy. We had fished all morning and decided to take a couple of hours off and explore. We drove to the end of the paved road to a little campground. We decided to eat lunch there. We were sitting on the tailgate of the truck when a dog, I think it was probably an Australian shephard, came trotting down the road towards us. It had it's teeth bared, but wasn't growling or anything. It came up to me and wagged it's tail and we got to be friends fast. A while later it's owner, who turned out to be a doctor from Spokane, came to get the dog. We got talking about this and that for some time. The dog, meanwhile had wandered off down the road back towards his owners camp. The doc had his back to the dog. A little while later the dog came walking down the road, somewhat unsteadily, back towards us. While I and my buddy were watching! , the dog would just stop and fa ll over on it's side like it was dead. It would lie there for a minute and then stuggle to it's feet, and repeat the sequence of falling over again. I finally interrupted our conversation with the doc and asked him if there was anything wrong with the dog. He asked what was happening. I told him and he started laughing. He said he and his wife had gone on a trail ride with thier horses that morning. They had covered about 15 miles. The dog went along, but as dogs are prone to do, covered about 60 miles running back and forth and up and down the trail. He then explained that the dog when it got overly tired would lose contol of it's mouth muscles, thus explaining the bared teeth, and also had a habit of just walking or trotting along and falling asleep on it's feet. I kid you not, it was one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
