I've got a Steelheader and like it a lot. The one thing I don't like about it is the weight. They are HEAVY! Mine is about 6 years old now and works great. They have changed the pontoon style a bit since mine was made but overall it's the same boat. I've used it on the Skagit, Snoqualmie and Skykomish as well as many different lakes and it is a really tough boat. I also have an older version of the "Hunter". This boat I like even better than the Steelheader. You sit a little lower in the boat so you don't get blown across the water like you do with the Steelheader. You can kick it unlike the Steelheader (unless you leave off the standing platform). I also like the ergonomics of rowing the Hunter better. But, best of all it only weighs about 35lbs so it's easy to move around. I didn't want to have mine in Camo so I asked Bill to make it in Blue. I wouldn't take my Hunter on any heavy whitewater though as the 1/2" frame is too weak. I just looked at their website and it looks like they have come out with a new model called the Osprey. This seems to be what I would have liked to have in the place of my Hunter. A little stronger frame but still light enough to carry around.
