About 90% of the time I throw an Olive Clouser or similar fly, the #8
Clouser being my standby, and the maribou Clouser being used more this
year just for kicks. I use red lead eyes on all my Clousers and tie
them with white underbelly, a few strands of pearl crystal flash
extending just past the maribou or bucktail and topped with olive.

My new starter fly is an olive Jiggy since I got tired of busting the
lead eyes off on rocks on the beach with the Clousers. This is tied
much like the Clousers except I use a top of MOP Root Beer Gliss n, Glow
over the olive bucktail. I also use red stick-on eyes on the Jiggy and
found some great tungsten cones for the head.

The other 10% of the time I toss one of Leland's poppers, usually in
white.
