Beach Popper

Leland, on the Washington Flyfishers web site for tying your beach popper you the connection to the stinger hook should be a snelled connection. On the pugetsoundflyfishing.com site the receipe calls for using a doubled over section of mono and making a loop connection to the stinger hook.  Which one is better. Which one is easier to tie?  Thanks in advance. I bought the components yesterday and am going to tie up a bunch.   Roger
