I would check out the Tioga and Tioga Teton reels. I have the Teton 12LA and love it! The drag works great and it is beautifully made. I think it'll run a little over your price but I think it is well worth it. I've used mine on Salmon in the salt and had great luck with it. Even though I use it on my 8wt I bought the larger reel for it's ability to act as a counter weight :) Makes casting all day much easier for me. Plus that large arbor really brings in the line fast! Worked great when the silver decided to run strait at the boat at Neah Bay last summer!

Now when I strip out line it sounds weird. So ... I was wondering if anyone had any reccomendations on new reels under 100 bucks that might last a bit longer and handle a bit better than my Okuma Sierra's? On another forum I read that the Ross Cimmaron is a good reel? Looked to be about 70 bucks. Mark
