Yep. Get one that is accurate. Being accurate surpasses all brand names. No matter what brand thermometer I have seen, they can be bad wrong up to 5 degrees off. Check for temperatures that are the same between thermometers, and reject all that are not close. I find one in a metal sleeve is better than a plastic sleeve, as it sinks faster. As you can tell, I am not a big believer in brand names. If you get them from non-fly shops you can save a lot of money. --- Mountlake Terrace, WA
