Thanks for the info Roger.  I agree entirely with the sentiment of your
post.  I just subscribed to the Bulletin and will try to learn more about
the issues.  As I recall there are two sides.

Well said. What my posts have tried to do is to prevent this from turning
into becoming another forum where much flame throwing, name calling, and
personal type attacks become the main focus. Democrats nor Republicans, nor
any other party have all the answers. Each has created it's own set of
frustrations in each and every one's lives. What to one party is one thing,
is touted by the other as being the best thing since popped corn. Let's face
it, the dams are there, and both good and bad has come from them. If you
have not already subscribed, the monthly Columbia Basin Bulletin newsletter
via email which is free has some pretty interesting reading regarding the
legal battles fought on this issue, as well as the reasoning behind the
battles. I don't have the link handy, but a search will get you the link. 
Lots of good stuff there on this and many other things affecting fishing.
