To me this is a very clear example of how quickly this topic can venture
beyond the intent of this forum.  I cast my vote with those who want to keep
this forum focused on fly fishing.  There are many other places to discuss
politics or/and environment.

The difficulty with this issue is that in order to even talk about this
subject we would have to pretend that all politicians are equal when it
comes to the environment and fish. And that just is not true.  Fact is that
some folks are in deep denial. The Koolaide probably tastes like Pepsi to
them.  Being polite is one thing, but if we have to pretend that this
administration is not waging a war on the environment, then lets also
pretend that a big plane will land and bring back the fish some day soon. To
avoid environmental policy, but to assert one is pro-fish is delusional . .
. and itself fanatically partisan.
