Hi All! I have forwarded this message to Apple. Is there anyone on the list that has been having the same problem? With a different ISP than the ones below?
I am not sure if this is a known problem or something specific to machines, but we have had a number of customers that have 9.2.2 installed on their Macs and having problems with their internet connection. Specifically, when they open their first web page, the connection works fine. When they open a new page or go to a different site, we get a 'server cannot be found' error. This then continues for every page. This also happens with email. The problem goes away when using OS X (and that is not the solution :-) ). We have tried using no DNS settings, two different DNS numbers and the same DNS number duplicated. We have also tried two different ISPs (WASP and iiNet) and both come up with the same problem. People that have been using 9.2.1 had no problems, then upgraded to 9.2.2 and have been getting the same error. Also occurs on brand new machines that ship with 9.2.2. I have managed to get a couple of the people to start using X instead of OS 9, but they still want to know why this is happening. Any ideas?
