Web Browser Problem

I can't seem to post messages onto discussion threads I use for 
University.  I used to be able to do this but can't anymore.  
Unfortunately I don't know what has changed to stop me from being able 
to post messages.  I have tried posting using both Safari and Internet 
Exploiter.  Running 10.2.6 on G4-400
I can get into the system and type up messages fine but clicking on the 
post button does nothing.  As a wild guess I'm thinking it might be 
something to do with my Java but I have no idea what to do even if it 
is this.
