Paul,

According to the System profiler one is set to 0 and the other was set to 7....might need to check that

Where does one find the jumper setting.

JOhn

On the SCSI drive there will be 3 pairs of pins used to choose a number between 0 and 7 (in binary). Note that you shouldn't use 0 as that's reserved for the computer itself.

So, the drives can be

0 - 000
1 - 001
2 - 010
3 - 011
4 - 100
5 - 101
6 - 110
7 - 111

Where 0 represents 'no jumper' and 1 represents a jumper across a pair of pins. You can find which pins are used to select the address by finding the drive's manual on the internet, or looking on the drive itself for some documentation or a diagram.

You need to make sure that everything on the same SCSI bus has a different number.

Have fun,
Shay
