Thinking of switching to Bigpond cable (we do have the cable in our
street). Are there any hitches? Running Panther on recent iMac.
I was a BigPond cable customer for a few years.
In my experience it was pretty bloody awful.
While speed was certainly good, at the time purchase the COST was
high. Reliability was absolutely pathetic with constant Telstra end
problems resulting in drop outs or large periods of no service. The
monkeys sent out to do the original install had never worked on a Mac
and couldn't work it out. Technical help (phone) support are just as
bad and try to explain everything as though you're a moron sitting at
a windows box.
