DW didn't report anything out of the ordinary.
The computer is booting from its own system and the mail is independent

Yes Shay it is a single user machine on an X Server network.
Did DiskWarrior report many errors or any major errors? Did its
hardware SMART test think that the drive was ok?
Is it netbooting or using a network home account on the XServe, or
authenticating against the XServe?
Have fun,
Shay
