At last those of us using the Elgato EyeTV DVR solution to record TV shows
using a Mac have an Electronic Program Guide available to make scheduling TV
shows into the Elgato software a point and click affair.

IceTV, a Mac OS X 10.4 widget has been released that integrates with the
IceTV service to provide a subscription based automated scheduling system.

The only issue is the subscription costs $3 per week though a 14 day trial
is available. It's a shame the free TitanTV service that EyeTV users enjoy
in the UK and the USA isn't available here in Australia but at least there
is an option now.

I'm just trying to work out if being able to schedule a recording into EyeTV
with a zip into Dashboard and single mouse click instead of the current
process of go to TV guide webpage, copy and paste name of show, enter
channel, enter time and date hit okay is worth $156 per year. I don't know
- maybe at $30 per year I could justify it myself. :-(

I think I'll need to sign up for the free 14-day trial to see if I can't
bear to go back to the more manual method.

So what does everyone else think?
