At last those of us using the Elgato EyeTV DVR solution to record TV shows using a Mac have an Electronic Program Guide available to make scheduling TV

I'm just trying to work out if being able to schedule a recording into EyeTV
with a zip into Dashboard and single mouse click instead of the current
process of go to TV guide webpage, copy and paste name of show, enter
channel, enter time and date hit okay is worth $156 per year. I don't know
- maybe at $30 per year I could justify it myself. :-(

I think I'll need to sign up for the free 14-day trial to see if I can't
bear to go back to the more manual method.

So what does everyone else think?

I signed up for the 14 day trial and gave it a whirl Monday night. Does work very well, but as you said, $156 for a year is a bit steep. The manual method works fine for me too, just the laziness factor can sometimes makes me miss a show or two.

The other thing missing with the widget is that you can't set up a repeating schedule. For example, your show is on Monday's at 7.30pm for the next 13 weeks.

Its promising, but I would have been happy with the eyetv bit in the free one day version. I think we were gipped :-(
