Just be careful about those comments re running water, Peter...;-) I am soon going to be on a first name basis with Sol Trujillo at the rate I'm going in Cowaramup. We are precisely 7.2kms from the exchange, which is precisely 2.8kms too far. Meanwhile, down the road, a caravan park which is on a different exchange, but only 2kms from us, has recently connected to broadband AT THE INVITATION OF TELSTRA!
We seem to be in a black spot of some .5 to 1.8kms in length and "there's nothing we can do". RUBBISH!! I told the regional technical manager that he could save his breath about G3 and the whiz bang stuff the new services will do. Until he can get me a basic broadband service, NOT via a satellite dish, I don't care about watching TV on my mobile phone!! It's a farce.
