In my experience that message indicates a drive with a hardware
failure. backup the disk and replace it.
we do such things here at Team Digital and have an Apple Certified

I've repaired disk permissions, and there seemed to be a lot of

I've ran
Disk Utility, starting up from the install disk, and the result is...

Any ideas as to what else I can do to get the PowerBook functional
short of
taking it to an Apple repair centre or throwing it on the scrap
heap? I'
reluctant to throw it on the scrap heap as it had a brand new hard
disk only
two years ago, and a total screen replacement about a year ago. If I
do have
to take it to an Apple Repair Centre, what are the options in Perth?
Many thanks, Steven
