hope everyone survived the deluge and has their power back.....
I just got a new mac (well, new to me...) and migrating over seems to have been pretty smooth. Probably shouldn't have said that. But iTunes has me stumped.
My library is still on an external firewire drive where it has always been - I just told the old itunes where it was and all was well. But when I tell the new itunes where it is it just ignores me - it claims to be updating library but the window just shows some old stuff which hasn't been in my itunes for years and doesn't seem to reflect any actual collection of files that I can find - must be created by some old library xml file.
Just to see, I pointed it at the empty itunes folder in user>music, and dragged a couple of albums onto the itunes icon. It duly added them - but all the old stuff still appears too. I could delete the unwanted stuff from within itunes and bring it all in again, but I'm losing the cover artwork that was laboriously added (these are from my own cds, not itunes store stuff) and it's all getting a bit irritating.
