I applaud the committee initiatives proposed in order to broaden WAMUG's reach and expand membership. The name change proposed is pragmatic and logical and like all names it will become the acronym AUWA which says no more to the uninitiated than does WAMUG. I remember in the earliest email days at Physics UWA when the server had the full name "Electronic….." and the acronym earwax and my email address was @earwax.etc. Caused some puzzled comments and did not last all that long. Like Ronni and others I will be sad to see the demise of the WAMUG name but accept the argument that "Apple" is more embracing in the current times than "Macintosh". As a distant country member, who has not yet attended a meeting, still hoping!, all that will be involved is a few minor tweaks to settings - as long as the online postings of queries and answers continue I will be happy and continue to pay my annual $30. My thanks to all of you, in your many and varied functions, that make WAMUG such a valuable resource. Long may it continue. Severin Crisp
