Hi all While I am in the process of replacing a 'dead' removable battery for my 'old' MacBook Pro 17" (with removable Battery version) I am under the understanding that I need to shut it down before removing the power cable, to move it about or take it to work, the 'remember open pages' works but the restart takes ages... Can I simple put it to sleep, remove cable, move it, reattach power cable and continue? ( I think I know the answer but ...here is hoping),
or, the dead battery is slightly swollen but fits, I do need to remove it to operate the mouse... can I remove the battery it while it is powered up but in sleep mode - lid closed and white glowing light? (would it be glowing?)
