Hi Ronni

I went through your checklist and followed the links for the further
instructions, no change. Log-on steill ‘hang’ applications become unresponsive,
requiring ‘force quit’.
I logged onto Appleid via Safari to ensure I have my details correct, they
were.
Might contact the Genius Bar or Apple directly.
Thank you again for your suggestions.
Brian

Hi Brian,

Authorise your computer in iTunes.
Have you tried:
1. Reset your computer's NVRAM <http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14222>
2. Boot your computer in Safe Mode <http://support.apple.com/kb/ph14204>
3. Log into iCloud / Apple ID
4. Reboot into Normal Mode

Cheers,
Ronni
