Hi Matt, I would suggest you have a dead Firewire 800 Port unfortunately. As a last resort you could try - unplug the iMac for 15 seconds, then on Startup zap the PRAM (Command-Option-P-R) for three boots. Then test the Firewire 800 Port. Otherwise it’s a new logic board replacement which unless you are covered by extended warranty costs a lot of $$$
If the Zapping the PRAM doesn’t help, perhaps contact Daniel of MacWizardry for him to have a look at the iMac.
