Ping 37ms Download 11.31Mbps Upload 0.95 Mbps This seems fairly typical for me and ping time does not seem to influence download speed (one test had a ping of 64ms but a download speed of 12.88Mbps. Your results sort of confirm what worries me about the NBN the network/technology gives better speeds but, because of the high wholesale costs, the service providers don¹t buy enough bandwidth to give good user speeds when congested. I¹m more than happy with my existing package and speed (happily stream iView & SBS on demand) until I am forced to change to NBN I expect it will cost me more but offer me no real benefit. Part of the trouble is that the ISPs seem to base their expected traffic on pre-NBN usage but as Smart TVs and other streaming devices become more widely used bandwidth consumption increases rapidly and NBN wholesale costs are expensive so to maintain their margins they either have to scrimp on bandwidth or charge much more. I expect quite a lot of consumer complaints about actual service standards. Just my 2c worth ;o) Cheers Neil -- Neil R.
